Emirates is a well-known brand for luxury travel. They offer the best regular airline travel around the globe. You won’t find a better place to get a shower (personal spas are available on First-Class) or a bar on a flight. They are undoubtedly one of the most prestigious airlines in the world.
Emirates only operates two types of aircraft. Many airlines around the globe operate short-haul and long-haul aircraft that fly long and short distances. Emirates was different. They only had two wide-bodied aircraft families. They own the Airbus A380 (two types of the family) and the Boeing 777 (two varieties). They are the largest worldwide operator of both types.
1. Airbus A380
- Airbus A380: 120 total (2 or 3 depending on your order)
The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger plane ever built. It is full-sized and double-storied. This aircraft is a true marvel of engineering, even though it has been out-competed somewhat by Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner. In 2021, the A380 was retired from production. The A380 is a large aircraft that can carry 525 passengers and has a maximum capacity of 853 passengers.
Emirates placed 123 of the 251 Airbus orders for this superjumbo – almost half the total ever flown.
2. Boeing 777
- Boeing 777: 134 Total
Emirates also operates the Triple Seven. This American wide-body airliner was designed to bridge Boeing 767 and Jumbo Jet 747.
They fly the routes that aren’t worthy of the A380, making up half the Emirate fleet. These luxury services are not often up to the same standards as the A380 flagships.
3. Emirates A380 Business Class
They are available on the Emirates Airline A380 Business Class. These seats seamlessly recline to a flatbed with a soft, comfortable mattress and a comfy blanket. The “Onboard Lounge”, a bar located on the plane, allows passengers to relax, network and enjoy delicious canapes.
- Flatbed: Full-Flat Bed
You will find a wide variety of regionally-inspired gourmet dishes that are far more delicious than what you would expect from an aeroplane meal. Enjoy their delicious cuisine and more than 4,500 channels.
The A380 and 777 long-haul aircraft come with a pillow and a blanket.
Emirates also puts a lot of effort into cabin design. The aircraft’s interior is adorned with rich wood panels and gold and beige colours.
The business class seats on the A380 are staggered 1-2-1. This allows couples to share a seat or enable passengers to travel together.
- Length of the Bed: Range from 1.78 to 2. Meters (5.8-6.5 Feet).
- First Class: Personal Spa
4. Boeing 777 Business Class
The Boeing 747 Business Class is one of the most luxurious in the sky. It isn’t as elegant as the A380, however. You can use the A380’s fully-reclinable bed, but you can recline in a chair here. This seat allows one to lie flat on the soft leather fabric.
They can be repositioned 180 degrees flat. The seats recline more to an angle lie-flat position in older versions than the matte version. The 777’s seat reclines into beds measuring 2m (6.5 feet) long.
- Bed Length: 2 Meters (6.5 Feet Long).
The layout of the Boeing 777s is a 2-2-2 configuration. The design of the Boeing 777 has changed to a 2-2-2 format.
- Personal Minibar: not Refrigerated
